Hi there ,
I will appreciate if any nurse/perosn who has knowledge about nursing profession answer my question.
What is the process for licensure to be a nurse in USA-for a person who has done GNM or BSC nursing in India.
Does it make a difference if one has done a GNM or BSc nursing from India, any advantage of one over the other?

Thanks guys for reading such a big article and taking time to know against whom we are really fighting for. I hope every one read this article and know the people behind the scene, their intentions, the power and clout they have.
This may help all of us to be united to fight against such powers leaving all our diferences for a good cause, which is a herculian task.

4. Consult an immigration lawyer ASAP
Today, My H1B transfer got denied and waiting for denial notice. Employer is planning to appeal on denial case. (I am assuming that "Denial could be becasue of client letter was not furnished)
My Layer: Employer->Company A-> Primary Vendor -> Client
My I-94 is valid Nov-09-2009 based on previous employer petition. Previous employer notified USCIS on H1B termination.
On this, What would be best option.
1. File a new H1B case thru current employer (while is waiting for appeal result, as a back up plan)?
2. can I continue work for current employer since my I-94 is valid till 11/09/2009 and filling MTR?
3. Apply for H1B transfer thru primary vendor's sister concern?

USCIS is a fee-based organization with about 90% of its budget coming from fees paid by applicants and petitioners to obtain immigration benefits. The law requires USCIS to conduct fee reviews every two years to determine whether its costs to administer the nation�s immigration laws, process application, and provide the infrastructure needed to support those activities. Not normal, but what about I140 approval?. It is part of that and must be there. Did you apply I140 and I485 togther? If yes, it may be missing because of processing backlogs.
I did not apply together. 140 was approved in May 2006. 140 does have the Priority Date but in the 485 Receipt Notice the Priority Date field is blank. I applied for 485 in July 2007.

I was looking at status of my EAD I applied on 15th October'2008 online at TSC.Status shows that my card has been ordered for production on 31st October.I received letter for Biometric appointment on 5th November. I went to ASC on Saturday( 11/1/2008) and had my fingerprinting done.
How can they order the card on 31st october when my biometrics were done by that date and my appointment was set for 5th Nov 2008 ? Anybody faced the same situation? I had gone for finger printing for I-485 this January.
I got FP notice for my EAD one month after I got my EAD in hand.

Yes you can using your I140, should not be any issue. Ask your attorney to do the paperwork, it should be straightforward.

Me and my spouse both work on H1B and I am applying for I-485 along with EAD/AP for both me and my spouse. My question is since my spouse is already in H1B with certain job title which was mentioned in one of the documents that was filled with i-485, when spouse uses EAD does she need to be looking for similiar jobs only?. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

Spoke to Virgin Atlantic cust rep last week for flight from US to India via London and they said they cannot accept Advance Parole for transit and I would need UK Transit Visa or Valid US visa.

You need to turn in all your I-94 cards, e.g. I-94 below the H1B approval notice, change of status. When you re enter the new I-94 card will have a new number so old ones if you kept would become useless. I would highly recommend that make copies of all your I-94 cards at I-485 they can ask you provide old I-94 cards Have seen cases where this has happened.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. That cleared a lot of confusion. If I apply lets say, 3 weeks before the expiration of her I-94, does she have to leave as soon as her current I-94 expires of can she wait for the decision? I she can wait what status will she be in once her current I-94 expires and the extension is still pending?

Because you have already been counted in the H-1 quota for FY 2008, you should be able to file for a change of status to H-1 without again being subject to the quota and should not have to wait.
