I know there is some software that lets u bypass the firewire requiremtn.
I got one a while back that iddnt work, where can i get some software that will allow me to use it. I need the tried and true. I hate getting my hopes up and downloading stuff just to get it not to work :confused:

The next Mac Mini should be fine for that. If as hoped it gets a Sandy Bridge processor it'll make the MacBook Air look terribly slow in comparison for CPU intensive tasks, especially if you put a SSD in the Mini.
As for EyeTV, the current Mini isn't as powerful as many of us would like, but I find it to be adequate. Hopefully the refresh will correct this and allow smooth playing of live sport in HDTV using progressive scan.

A promotional video for Microsoft’s Forza 4 game leaked to the Internet on Friday.
WinRumors held back from posting the video until Microsoft representatives were able to confirm the video was genuine and not an elaborate April Fools. Microsoft has confirmed the authenticity of the video and has claimed it was never meant for public distribution.
The video in question was not intended for public distribution and may not accurately reflect features and functionality that ship in Forza Motorsport 4. We will have more to share on Forza Motorsport 4 in the near future.

The video shows off some of the promised Kinect features for Forza 4. “Stand up and use your hands to open the doors, retract the roof, fire up the engine,” says the narrator of the video. The game will feature 80 car manufacturers, a figure that has never been seen before in a racing game. “Kinect powered head tracking allows you to look into the corners while you race,” says the narrator. IGN also notes that Top Gear’s own test track might make its way to Forza 4.
The video shows that the Kinect integration will mainly be for the less hardcore gamers. Microsoft’s promise to share more information on Forza 4 “in the near future” will keep the masses hoping for further Kinect integration.

This is my first post so hello all.
I went over to techTV.com today and found a realy good video clip showing you the future of PC in five years time, and thay had some great hardware on show too.
But the best thing in the video was this great looking OS that was runing on there computers. Man I thought OSX was a good looking OS, but this look's so good. This is a must see.

Well... it WILL set a precedent and you will see apple going after jailbreakers... And they have MORE muscle than SONY.
Now.. on the other side...
If Geohot wants a donation... Jailbreak 4.3 untethered and you will get a handsome donation from me.
There is supposedly an untethered Jailbreak for 4.3 ready, but they generally wait until the actual release of an OS revision so that Apple doesn't patch whatever hole they're using. Wait to hold your breath until Apple releases the final rev of 4.3.

Apple and every other computer maker is going to be held back. Don't you think apple had sandy bridge based computers in the pipeline

Yeh but ...... "every other sandy bridge computer is a 'PC' and Dell/HP appear to have more stock (sandy bridge) or in the process of ramping up production, when the news broke.

My D2 is noiser than my iMac, but I think it depends on your luck with what manufacturers drive is inside it. I got stuck with a Maxtor sadly :(
However noise aside it's great. Not had experience of the Porsche cases, but I gained the impression that it was just a different case design - so go for the one you like the look of.

Awesome. I know two developers (actually, the iPhone teachers at my college) who went, but were interested in multiple sessions running at the same time. This made their day.

Its not even landing in the trash...
Email can be a pain.... your other account could be trashing it, who knows... try to get as simple and basic as you can with your testing. I also use phpmailer you might want to look into that. Good luck.

Maybe, I've never gone to MacWorld even though I live in San Jose. Only hurdle for me would be taking a day off of work, although i've got plenty of vacation time. Not much of a drinker myself, and not too familiar with SF. Last time I went to meet-up with some people in SF, we ended up in a "massage" parlor. :eek::o:D

I have an issue where imported video will not have a poster-frame, but instead multi-color vertical lines. It wouldn't be till I explicitly set the poster-frame that it would show. Maybe or maybe not this is addressed in the update.

There's no special TP --> HDMI, because there's no need for one. You can plug in Mini DP into TP and it will work. In fact the port has separate channel for video, so your monitor doesn't compete for bandwidth with anything else.
