I'm sure many more states will want this kind of law, and thats what pushes the CIR to the top of the files.

about time ppl came forward to share the burden & not let just the core/a few others carry the load alone - i was thinking we should be able to raise a million every month with wider participation (20000+) at lower $ levels like 50/100 so its sustainable. but lets see how far this goes - cant affrd 2k rightaway tho

Any news/LUDs on you I-485 yet pd_recapturing? Your lawyer sent the interfile request some weeks ago right? I'm still awaiting approval of my 2nd I-140.

We have a wealth of information from A to Z on US Immigration, why dont we ourselves write articles and editorials and get them published in the News Papers, Journals, etc?
Why are we waiting for some one to come to us and take information to write articles on us. Does Newspapers check the background of authors to verify if they are citizens/non-citizens/green card holders/ H1B's. What all matters to them is quality and authenticity of the articles.
Do you folks think this a good option to pursue?
Lets put it to work.

Thanks for the reply. But like I mentioned, this case was approved on 5/8/2008 and the approval notice was sent on 5/8/2008 and received on 5/14/2008. Between 5/8/2008 and 5/22/2008 the status was "approved, approval notice sent".
Afterwards since 5/22/2008 the online status became "new documents sent on 5/22/2008, you should receive it within 30 days". I do not think this "new document" is the approval notice coz I even received it before they sent. Just curious what could this "New document" be. Would it change the status of my I-140 (like revoke or withdraw or RFE)?
I had a similar experience. Four weeks after my I-140 was approved, I had another LUD and when I checked the online status, it had the same message that you mentioned. When I asked my lawyer, he told me that it ususally means that the employer has received a copy of the approval as well. And sure enough, 3 days later, I found out from HR that they received the I-140 approval letter and they wanted to know what to do with it.

Instead of trying to figure out which copy/original of AP goes where, and how many originals you should/will get, understand this simple fact: If you have an approved multiple entry AP, then you will be able to enter multiple times.
Each port of entry has a diffierent way of doing things. At the end of your immigration through the POE, you will have atleast one AP travel document in your hand, which will be stamped. You can use the same document to re-enter before the expiration date (on the AP), as long as it is multiple entry.
So just relax and enjoy your travel.
When it is three copies (Nebraska has been giving three), on first travel, one copy goes to airlines, the 2nd copy goes to POE and 3rd copy remains with AP holder (the 3rd copy must be stamped at POE). On subsequent travels give a photocopy (of 3rd) to airlines, ask POE to make a copy (of 3rd) for themselves and keep 3rd (after getting subsequents stamp).
When it is two copies (Texas has been giving two), on first travel, give a photocopy to airlines the 1nd copy goes to POE and 2nd copy remains with AP holder (the 2nd copy must be stamped at POE). On subsequent travels give a photocopy (of 2nd) to airlines, ask POE to make a copy (of 2nd) for themselves and keep 2nd (after getting subsequents stamp).

I'm not lucky like others. This is my company's lawyer. This is the first case in my company (15 years) where any sort of rejection/RFE/downgrade to TR is done.

You have to apply at HRDC office in the city nearest to where you land. HRDC is Human Resources Development Canada and they issue SIN CARDS. Google it.
Just make note that they are not open on Weekend. You can only apply for SIN on weekday.

Hardly - performance is one of the big advantages of Silverlight. It runs a similar version of the .NET CLR in it! What are the examples that you've seen that run slowly?
So Silverlight 2 runs way better than 1.0 on some of the sites you showed us. I take it back.
Plus I mean there a good chance Silverlight will have DX/OpenGL support before Flash gets any where close to full 3d support.
Can Silverlight load .x models yet?

to be severe with oneself and lenient with others. As for me, all I knew was that he was good to me and had a big brown and black German shepherd, Susie, that he brought to play with me. Susie was a big part of my childhood, and started my lifelong love affair with dogs.Mother and Roger got married in Hot Springs, in June 1950, shortly after her twenty-seventh birthday. Only Gabe and Virginia Crawford were there. Then Mother and I left her parents home and moved with my new stepfather, Come and buy world of warcraft power leveling (http://www.u4game.com/Wow_Power_Leveling.html), cheap wow leveling (http://www.u4game.com/Wow_Power_Leveling.html), free wow power leveling web . warcraft gold (http://www.u4game.com) webpage! whom I soon began to call Daddy, into a little white wooden house on the south end of town at 321 Thirteenth Street at the corner of Walker Street. Not long afterward, I started calling myself Billy Clinton. My new world was exciting to me. Next door were Ned and Alice Williams. Mr. Ned was a retired railroad worker who built a workshop behind his house filled with a large sophisticated model electric-train setup. Back then every little kid wanted a Lionel train set. FFXI Gil (http://www.u4game.com/Final-Fantasy-XI-49.html) Daddy got me one and we used to play with it together, but nothing could compare to Mr. Neds large intricate tracks and beautiful fast trains. I spent hours there. It was like having my own Disneyland next door.

Hi!
My mom's a Gynecologist. She got her MBBS and MS from India in 1978. She has been working in India since then.
How can she start practicing in the United States? I have absolutely NO idea. I have heard about the USMLE Exam, but is it necessary for a person with 25+ years of experience? Will she have to do her medical-residency AGAIN?
Please advise.
Yes, I guess it is absolutely necessary to pass the different stages of USMLE and then do residency and based on what speciality one gets in to,irrespective of what background is. Usually OB/Gyn takes upto 5-6 yrs..down the lane. Please google up USMLE and medical practice in US, you will find more answers.

PD Transfer can even be done @ i-485 stage too, but that's not as straight a process as porting it at the I-140 stage. But technically, it can be done at I-485 too.

In Jun-July 2008 they will pass the unused Visa for Fiscal 2008 to India/China/Mexico/Philippines.So according to NY Times if 300K filed - then we July 2nd -Aug 17th 2007 filers will get GC within 2-3 yrs ? ( 300K/140K yearly)
I might be missing something - the real picture is not so good.
out of 300K applications ,may be 150K apps are from indians , then it'll take 150K/10K = 15 years for the one who applied in July/Aug 07.

1) You CAN use the AP that is approved while you are out. However someone needs to courier the document to you before you can enter with it. I am doing the same thing with my Law Firm. You do not need the AP in hand to leave the US.
Again if your AP is approved but is in mail or whatever and you leave the country then you are ok (technically) in somebody mailing it out to you otherwise you cannot claim to have satisfied the rule USCIS has put forward and the IO has every right to deny entry at the POE
Extract from the instructions of I 131 form
If you travel before the advance parole document is issued, your application will be deemed abandoned if:
A. You depart from the United States; or
B. The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made on the application.
- good luck

I am sorry, you are eligible for the emergency appointment because You are returning worker on h1b. But sometimes you dont get any slots in emergency appointment also. thats the reason i advised you to email to chennai consulate.
When i went to india in last october, thats what i did. I had to leave for india because of my father-in-law was died. Because it was emergency i did not have time to take the appointment while going to india. after going, i tried for emergency appointment but there were no slots before my ticket return date. then i contacted chennai consulate (not VFS), then they gave me the date and time for the interview. everything went well.
all the best!
thanks
